Repost ▪︎▪︎▪︎"Self-Care Tings" - Just before heading back to the States post vaca, I had this incredibly peaceful moment on the beach. I'd brought down a few things I thought I'd need from the hotel room .. A book to read ... Sunscreen .. My phone ... Just to not need any of it.⠀ ~~⠀ Finally reaching my beach chair, I opted for a quick meditation / yoga session in the sand instead. Yoga isn't foreign, but the looks on people's faces when you randomly start "downward dogging" in the sand is hilarious ... Anywho, it's only been 6 weeks since I've moved back to the U.S from living abroad in the Middle East and the pressure I'd put on myself to "settle in" has been intense. Anxiety can be a mf-er ... I'm working on that. That said? what's kept me balanced is taking moments daily to exhale.
